Winner's Speech | Mikayla Perez | Saxophone | World Classical Music Awards 2026
“Hello, my name is Michaela Perez and I have been awarded the Platinum Prize for the World Classical Music Awards. I'm an 18-year-old saxoponist from the United States. I currently study at Sam Houston State University, and I just want to say thank you to all the judges and the committee for making this whole thing possible. It's truly a beautiful experience that I will keep a part of me for the rest of my life. I got to compete with people from all over the world and people that are different instrumentalists. So, it truly is something that is life-changing. It feels really great to just compete with all these talented musicians and putting yourself out there, letting people listen to your music. So, definitely I suggest this to anybody thinking about submitting a video because this is a really, really good opportunity. I just want to say another thank you to my friends and my family and all my teachers for always pushing me and motivating me to keep playing my music and sharing this with a lot of people. So, thank you everybody."
