Prof. Alexandra Acatincăi – Violinist and Educator Alexandra Acatincăi comes from a family of musicians. Her mother, Laurenția Onose, is one of the distinguished methodological instructors at the National College of Music “George Enescu” in Bucharest. She began studying the violin at the National College of Music “George Enescu” and continued her musical education at the National University of Music Bucharest. Her professional training was shaped under the guidance of renowned violin masters, including Modest Iftinchi, Nicolae Bilciurescu, and Associate Professor Dr. Ioana Croitoru. Throughout her artistic development, she attended numerous masterclasses led by internationally acclaimed musicians, among them Erzhan Kulibaev, Ioana Croitoru, Remus Azoiței, and Silvia Marcovici. Awards and Distinctions Alexandra Acatincăi is the recipient of numerous awards at national and international competitions, including: “George Georgescu” Competition – Tulcea, Romania; “Orpheus” Competition – Târgu Jiu, Romania; “Sigismund Toduță” Competition – Deva, Romania; “Paul Constantinescu” Competition – Ploiești, Romania; National Instrumental Performance Olympiad; as well as many other prestigious competitions for young musicians. Artistic Activity As a violinist, Alexandra Acatincăi has performed in recitals and concerts throughout Romania, Austria, and Hungary. She has appeared on stages in Bucharest, Sinaia, Iași, Constanța, Bacău, and Bistrița. Her artistic career is also marked by an extensive commitment to charitable performances, including concerts at Fundeni Clinical Institute, “Marie Curie” Children’s Hospital, nursing homes in Bucharest and Brașov, and residential care centers for children. Together with the Chamber Trio, she has performed extensively across Romania, promoting chamber music to diverse audiences. Media Presence Prof. Alexandra Acatincăi has made multiple appearances on the television program “Portatives and Portraits” broadcast by Speranța TV and has published articles in the cultural magazine “Independența Română”. Educational Career Dedicated to the education and development of young musicians, Alexandra Acatincăi has built a successful teaching career spanning more than 19 years. Her passion for music education, inherited from her family tradition, has been reflected in the outstanding achievements of her students at national and international competitions. Her professional accomplishments have been recognized through: Appointment as Methodological Teacher; Award of the Merit Distinction in Education; Service as Head of the Strings Department for three years at the National College of Music “George Enescu” in Bucharest. Under her guidance, numerous students have won Grand Prizes, First Prizes for Excellence, Special Awards, and First Prizes at dozens of national and international competitions.
