Warm congratulations to Yiyao Ling, a young pianist from China, for earning the Silver Prize in the Junior Category (Ages 8–10) at the Georges Bizet International Music Competition 2026 Season 2 (Season Period: 10 Jan. – 10 Apr. 2026).
Behind this remarkable achievement is not only talent, but also perseverance, passion, and the unwavering support of family and teachers. In her heartfelt speech, Yiyao shares her musical journey, gratitude, and dreams for the future:
“Hello everyone. I am so happy to be here today. Winning the super award in this competition make me feel very proud. This honor show all my hard work and my love for the piano. When I first started playing the piano was not always easy. Sometimes I played the wrong notes, and sometimes I wanted to stop. But my mom and dad always helped me. They told me you can do it. I also want to thank my teacher Ms Zhang. Thank you for teaching me so kindly. You told me to practice slowly and never give up. Because of you, I found the magic of music. At this competition, I see many great players. I know I still have a lot to learn. This silver award is a new start for me. I will practice harder and play more beautiful song for everyone. Thank you Ms Zhang. Thank you mom and dad. I will keep playing and let music grow up with me. Thank you all.”
