Congratulations to Ophir Kohlberg, violist and violinist from Jerusalem, Israel, on receiving the Silver Prize in the Chamber Music category at the World Classical Music Awards 2026, Season 2 (Season Period: 21 February - 21 May 2026).
Reflecting on this achievement, Ophir shared how the competition has inspired him to continue growing as a musician and creating music from the heart:
"Hello all, my name is Ophir Kohlberg. I'm an amateur violist and violinist. This year I won the silver prize at the World Classical Music Awards music competition online. It's my second prize that I win in this competition. I won it together with my father who's also an amateur musician. He's an amateur pianist. Last year I won it together with my father and with my mother who is a violinist. I think this competition is a great competition because it gives every musician in every level and every age the opportunity to try and get better and better and to get prizes, and this kind of competition, I think it's the best encouragement to continue the hard work, and the great music making, and not everything needs to be with money. It's important also to do something to our soul, and to achieve things from the soul, and not always with money, money, money. So thank you so much.
