Join the International Composition Competition for Young Symphony Orchestra 2026–2027

Eurochestries International has announced the launch of the International Composition Competition for Young Symphony Orchestra 2026–2027, a new international initiative dedicated to supporting contemporary orchestral creation and emerging composers worldwide.


Open to participants of all nationalities, the competition invites composers to submit original orchestral works inspired by the theme “Water in All Its Forms.” Winners will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to collaborate with orchestra musicians during the final stage in France.

  • Deadline: August 31, 2026 (CET)

  • The competition is open to nationals of all countries.

     The theme is Water in all its forms. this competition is divided into two categories: under 30 years old(born after March 31, 1997)---Submit a 6-8 minute piece; over 30 years old(born before March 31, 1997) --- Submit a 8-10minute piece. There are a total of 3 rounds of competition. The first round requires the submission of a 2-3 minute script (PDF + audio, mp3); the second round requires the submission of a complete work (PDF + audio, mp3); and the final round requires the composer to go to France to rehearse with the orchestra and then perform publicly. The work has never been published or performed publicly. Composers are free to choose their preferred style without any restrictions, but must use the instruments we require (please see the full rules on our website).

     

    Awards: total prize money : €20,500.

    Prizes for each category:

    First Prize: €5,000; Second Prize: €3,000; Third Prize: €2,000

    One audience prize will be awarded based on the combined prizes from both categories: €500.

    Registration fee: €50
