Sharing his thoughts on this artistic milestone and the concept of "homeland," Christos shares:

"Hello everyone. My name is Christos Danakas and I'm a pianist and composer from Greece based in Germany. I am truly honored to receive the gold prize at the World Classical Music Awards, in the composition category for my song Cycle First Land for high voice and piano. I would like to sincerely thank the jury and the organizers of the competition for this incredible recognition among so many talented musicians and composers from around the world. First Land is a work very close to my heart inspired by the idea of homeland as something we carry within us wherever life may lead us. I'm also especially grateful to the amazing soprano Maria Taxidou whose artistry and dedication brought this work to life through our collaboration and recording. Thank you very much once again for this honor. This award means a lot to me. Thank you."
