Winner's Speech | Filip Tomislav Tosti | Piano | Bach International Music Competition UK 2026

Following this wonderful achievement, Filip shared his heartfelt appreciation and reflected on his musical journey, the meaning of perseverance, and the deep emotional connection he feels when performing:

"Hello, I am Filip Tosti, winner of the second prize in the international Bach competition in the UK. I would love to thank the jury and the organizers for recognizing my playing and hard work as award worthy. I have been playing for about 9 to 10 years and when I play I feel a sense of freedom that I just cannot feel in anything else. I have an emotion in my playing that I love to convey to my audience that listens to me. And throughout my career I had many difficulties that I always persevere through and keep on playing. Because I believe that in a musician's life patience and perseverance are simply the greatest virtues that one can have. Some of my favorite composers who I'm simply infatuated with are Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, List and Ravel because I simply feel a sense of art in their music, a sense of emotion. They wanted to convey something just like I do. I would like to thank my family, my parents and my brothers for supporting me throughout everything. And I would also love to thank my teachers who taught me everything that I know. Thank you one more time."
