Outstanding achievement! 🎶
Reflecting on her double victory, Asya expressed her heartfelt gratitude:
"Hello everyone, my name is Asya Sokol. I'm 14 years old and I'm a flutist. I'm very happy and honored. This year I have received the Absolute First Prize and the Expressive Performance Special Prize. I received these honors in the Young Artist category at the UK International Music Competition. For me the flute is more than an instrument. It is my voice. Through music, I can share my feelings and connect with people. That is why the Expressive Performance Special Prize is very special to me. I would like to thank the jury and the UK international music competition for this special opportunity. And most of all, I want to thank my dear teacher Özlem Noyan. Thank you for teaching me, helping me, and always believing in me. I also want to thank my parents for their love and support. Thank you so much for this special honor. I'm very happy to share my music with you."
